Daytrip to Pyhä-Luosto

🏔️ Pyhä-Luosto Adventure — Real Lapland, Your Way

Escape the tourist crowds and spend a day in the real Finnish wilderness.

Meet us in Pyhä, about 1.5 hours from Rovaniemi. You can arrive independently by ski bus or rental car. We'll meet you in Pyhä, where your adventure begins with a warm drink and a short introduction to the area.

We'll show you the different options for your free time and give you our local tips on the best places to explore.

🌲 3 hours of free time — you choose what to do

There is no fixed tourist itinerary. You decide how you want to experience Pyhä.

🥾 Explore Pyhä-Luosto National Park

Go for a walk through one of Finland's most impressive national parks.

No entrance fee. We'll give you our recommendations for the best routes and viewpoints, so you can explore independently.

🎿 Try cross-country skiing

Never tried Finnish cross-country skiing? Give it a go!

A ski lesson with a qualified ski instructor is included in the price of the tour. Ski tracks are free to use. Bring your own equipment or rent skis locally for approximately €25.

🥾 Try snowshoeing

Want to experience the snowy forests without needing to know how to ski?

Snowshoes are included in the tour price. We'll show you how to use them and point you towards suitable routes.

🦌 Meet the reindeer

During winter, reindeer are kept in a nearby enclosure. You can walk there independently during your free time.

We'll give you directions and local information on how to get there. On the way, you can also see a frozen waterfall.

🛷 Go sledding

Bring out your inner child! 😄

There are three free-to-use sledding areas in Pyhä. Sleds are included in the price of our tour.

🔥 Have your own picnic

Visit the local supermarket, grab some Finnish snacks and make your own lunch at one of the free-to-use wilderness huts and campfire sites.

No expensive restaurant required — just good food, a fire and the Finnish wilderness.

🌌 Then the adventure begins

After your free time, we'll meet up again and head out into the darkness.

Headlamps on. Phones away. Time to explore.

Depending on the weather and conditions, we'll choose the best location for the evening.

🌠 Our private wilderness camp

When conditions allow, we'll head to our own camp in an open wilderness location, with spectacular views across the fells.

There's no city light pollution blocking the sky. Just open landscapes, stars and, if we're lucky, the Northern Lights dancing above us.

🌲 Or shelter in the national park

If the weather is particularly cold or windy, we'll choose a more sheltered location in the Pyhä-Luosto National Park.

The goal isn't to follow a rigid itinerary.

We choose the location based on the conditions — because nature makes the schedule.

🔥 Fire, food & Finnish traditions

We'll build a campfire and spend the evening around it.

You can grill food over the open fire, warm up and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

And we'll finish the evening with a cup of hot Finnish glögi — a traditional Finnish spiced mulled drink.

No crowded tourist restaurant.
No artificial show.
No rushing from one attraction to another.

Just fire, wilderness, good company and the Arctic night.
